1-The Native Americans were the first inhabitants of the land that is now Phillipsburg. They were Lenape Indian tribes who loved the area for the fishing near the Delaware River

2-The Industrial Revolution brought significant changes in the region near Phillipsburg. The town was a manufacturing hub, and numerous factories were established to produce goods. The Morris Canal, which ran through the region, was a vital transportation route for goods.

3- Phillipsburg has a rivalry with Easton which is one of the oldest Football matchups of any two schools in the nation. Since 1906 these two teams have faced off every Thanksgiving!

4-Sadly most of the industrial jobs left the area when Ingersoll Rand moved in 2002
